| JUNE 6th. First day. No problem for 150 miles, then fuel pump trouble on our leader, Ron Stauffer's '46. |
A new pump lasts all of 10 miles! Then it's on with an old one found at a flea market. It lasted the whole rest of the trip! We pull into St. Louis that night. |
JUNE 7th. We make it to Tulsa, OK. Bill and Corett Tripp organized their RG and provided a great supper for us when we arrived. Left over fruit and cookies were then bagged and given to us for the road. |
Our caravan's first of three tire problems. Here, Nathan Bischoff and Bill Tindall work on repairs. |
Before we leave Tulsa, Ron Stauffer and Bill Tindall show off our model of the Phase I building. Several donations were made by these nice folks. |

| It's the Rock Cafe in Stroud, OK. We don't think that's a Ford that Nathan Bischoff is driving. Bill Tindall patiently awaits his turn in the car. |
What's this? A parking lot seminar on something. |
Why, it's Bill Tindall's generator! Nothing really wrong with it. Bill just wanted to share his knowledge on generator bearings with our friends in the area. What a guy. |
It's JUNE 9th. In the photo: Jim Lockett, Bill Tindall, Ron & Shirley Stauffer, Lynn Ewing, Nathan & Ralph Bischoff, Jordan Keesling, Irv Ziegler, John Pugh and Bob Banka |
Jay Hertz, President of the Albuquerque RG, presenting a check for $250 to the Foundation. |

| JUNE 10th: The gang makes it to Needles, CA |
Needles in the twilight. |
JUNE 11th: Almost to Temecula. A stop for a little fresh air! |
We made it! And it's HOT in Temecula. Nathan and Jordan can't wait to jump in the hotel's pool. Great to see the youngsters interested in traveling with the old Ford Folks! |
The Western Meet is in full swing. Manning the Foundation's table: Bill Tindall, Ron Stauffer, Lynn Ewing, Jerry Vincentini and Jerry Windle. The license plate map we are raffling off at MotorFest 3 is in the background. |

| It's 10 o'clock. Do you know where your kids are? |
JUNE 13th, at the Concourse Judging. |
JUNE 14: Tom Johnston (center) former President of the National V-8 Club, presents our guys with a check for $500.Tom raised the $500 by selling "stuff" from his garage at
an RG sponsored swap meet. |
JUNE 15. Some great sites to see in the area. |
You can't travel all the way to California and not experience the Pacific Ocean. |
| JUNE 16: We attend the LA Roadster Show. We spotted a Ford 8N with a flathead V-8. This is one of the V-8 conversion kits Ron Stauffer makes. |
JUNE 17: We're on the way back home. First, a stop at Jerry Vincentini and Connie Francis' home in Phoenix for a picnic. Those boys are going to be water-logged by the time this is over! |
We catch up with our good friends, Gail & Clyde Bangiola of Arizona. Jerry and Connie fixed steaks for all of the tour participants. We had a great time. |
JUNE 18: Is this canyon grand or what? |
Irv Zeigler with his '51Ford at the Grand Canyon |
| Yes he does. |
JUNE 19: Wow. Driving our Fords is what it's all about! |
Burned motor home closed the road out of the Grand Canyon.
JUNE 20: Able and Marina Solise at their lovely home in Pagosa Springs, CO, kindly offer assistance in putting a fuel pump on the '51. |
Snowplow emergency vehicle. Don't think we need it today! |
| JUNE 21: That '51 might be old enough to smoke, buy YOU'RE not! |
JUNE 22: Back to St. Louis, under the famous arch. |
The arch is bigger than it looks! |
A view from the top. We're sorry to see the trip coming to an end. |
Quite a trip. We even wore out the grandsons! |
Well, that's it. A most memorable trip made even more enjoyable by the fantastic Ford friends we met along the way while we Spread the Word about the Early Ford V-8 Foundation & Museum!
